Kirby Smart and Georgia currently have an inside track to the College Football Playoff. However, the head coach of the defending back-to-back national champions feels slighted by being ranked No. 2 in the CFP.

During an appearance from Athens on The Pat McAfee Show prior to Saturday’s showdown vs. No. 9 Ole Miss, Smart is playing the disrespect card. Smart is determined to guide the Bulldogs to a historic 3-peat as the regular season winds down.

“Everybody has doubted us and given us motivation all year…The CFP rankings haven’t come across my desk and I don’t care,” Smart said. “…I really don’t think our team cares and we gotta go out and do it on the field.”

Georgia hasn’t lost a regular season game since being defeated by Florida in 2020. Georgia lost to Alabama in the 2021 SEC title game but went on to win the national title that season and last year.

ESPN’s SP+ has projected the score of the showdown between Georgia and Ole Miss.

Georgia leads the all-time series 32-12-1 vs. Ole Miss. The last meeting was a 45-14 win by Ole Miss in 2016 that has since been vacated. Before that contest, Georgia had a 10-game winning steak vs. Ole Miss.

Ole Miss at Georgia is set for 7 p.m. EST (ESPN).
