Kirby Smart updates Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint's status ahead of Ball State
Kirby Smart confirmed that a key receiver will be back in the lineup making his season debut for No. 1 Georgia in Week 2.
The Georgia head coach announced on Sept. 4 that senior Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint is available for the Bulldogs’ contest vs. visiting Ball State.
Rosemy-Jacksaint missed the season-opening 48-7 victory vs. UT Martin because of an “internal issue”.
Kirby Smart on Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint: “Marcus is going to be available to play. The number one thing we miss is leadership. The guy is unbelievable as a leader … He is one of the toughest, most competitive … the practice today for him will be like the Super Bowl”

Smart is glad to welcome back the steadying presence of Rosemy-Jacksaint into the huddle. Rosemy-Jacksaint caught 29 receptions for 337 yards and 2 touchdowns last season, but more importantly, serves as one of the Bulldogs’ main leaders.
“The number one thing we miss is leadership,” Smart said. “The guy is unbelievable as a leader … He is one of the toughest, most competitive … the practice today for him will be like the Super Bowl.”
Georgia vs. Ball State is slated for Sept. 9 at 12 p.m. EST and will be televised on SEC Network. This is the first meeting between the programs.
