By now you likely have heard that Lawrence Cager was injured this week in Athens during practice.

At this point, the severity of Cager’s injury is unclear as Georgia has not commented publicly on the injury to the team’s leading receiver. Based on a recent Instagram post by Cager, he will be out for the Georgia Tech game and the upcoming SEC Championship Game against LSU.

Here is the comment Cager posted with the image below:

“The energy in Sanford Stadium is undoubtedly electric. I wish it didn’t come to an end like this and if I could go back in time to the beginnings and do it again, there isn’t another school I would rather choose. Thank you Dawg Nation for all the great moments this past year. My boys know that we going get that SEC Champ an I’m still with them even if I’m not on the field. Big Dawg always going to shake back!”

Cager’s 33 catches and 476 receiving yards both lead Georgia’s team. In the game’s Cager has not played, Jake Fromm has really struggled, which could be a real concern not so much for the upcoming clash against Georgia Tech but the matchup in Atlanta against LSU.
