Nakobe Dean recorded his first NFL interception at a critical time for the Philadelphia Eagles, as they held on for a 28-23 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
The Eagles didn’t make it easy on themselves as they couldn’t put the Jaguars away, despite a 22-0 lead with less than 9 and a half minutes to go in the 3rd quarter. The Jags gradually chipped away, pulling to within 28-23 with 4 minutes remaining in regulation as Trevor Lawrence ran it in from 4-yards out.
The Jaguars would get the ball back for one last possession and advanced to the Eagles 13 as they looked to take the lead. But with 1 minute, 37 seconds remaining, Dean came up with a game-sealing interception on a Lawrence pass to the end zone as the Eagles would go to win their fourth straight game.
Here’s video of Dean’s pick of Lawrence:

It wasn’t the prettiest performance for the Eagles, especially in the latter stages of the game, but they escaped with a win in front of their home crowd to extend their winning streak. They next travel to AT&T Stadium in Arlington to face the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10.
The Jaguars, meanwhile, fell to 2-7. Five of their seven losses have been by one score.
