Georgia junior LB Natrez Patrick was arrested late Thursday night and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and a parking violation.

He posted bail at 12:25 a.m. after being booked into the Athens-Clarke County Jail at 11:37 p.m. His bond was set at $1,500.

Thursday night’s arrest marked the second marijuana-related offense for Patrick during his time at UGA. He was arrested as a freshman two yeas ago, and per UGA’s handbook, he would face a four-game suspension (penalty of 40 percent) for the second offense. Georgia plays Vanderbilt, Missouri, Florida and South Carolina over the next four games. That would likely put Patrick’s return November 11 for Auburn.

Patrick has started every game this season and has recorded 17 tackles.

In addition to likely missing Patrick for Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt, inside LB Reggie Carter hasn’t practiced due to an injury he suffered against Tennessee.
