Travaris Robinson will be one of the highest-paid assistants on Georgia’s coaching staff for the 2024 season, according to a report.

Robinson is set to make $1.3 million for the 2024 season, per documents obtained via DawgNation via open records request. Robinson agreed to join UGA’s coaching staff as co-defensive coordinator earlier this offseason. He previously served as cornerbacks coach at Alabama.

Robinson is set to be the second highest-paid assistant on UGA’s 2024 staff, behind only Glenn Schumann. Schumann, Georgia’s other co-defensive coordinator, made $1.9 million for the 2023 campaign. Last season, UGA’s highest-paid offensive assistant was Mike Bobo with a reported salary of $1,002,000.

As part of Robinson’s role at Georgia, he will also coach safeties for the program. He has an extensive history of coaching defensive backs throughout his coaching career, including at programs such as Miami, South Carolina, Auburn and Florida. Robinson has not held the defensive coordinator title since 2016-20 when he was with the Gamecocks.

After opting to leave for UGA, Robinson received interest from new Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer to return to the Tide’s coaching staff. However, Robinson ultimately decided to stick with the Bulldogs for the 2024 season.

Robinson has already reunited with one former Alabama defensive back as the Bulldogs secured a transfer commitment from Jake Pope last week.
