One of the biggest unanswered questions heading into the Early Signing Period has been answered as five-star Xavian Sorey just announced his college commitment.

Down to an all-SEC list of finalists, Sorey picked Georiga over Alabama and Florida during a live nationally televised commitment on ESPN.

Sorey, who goes by the nickname “The Barber,” played his final season of high school football at IMG Academy. Leading up to his decision, Georgia found an interesting way to pitch the five-star Florida native.

According to 247Sports Composite Rankings, Sorey rates as the No. 1 outside linebacker and the No. 20 overall prospect in the 2021 recruiting cycle. He is planning to enroll early at Georgia.
