At its core, basketball is a simple game — if you make more shots and score more points than the other team, you will win the game.
Well, Kentucky hasn’t been making shots so far this year, and that has led to an abysmal 5-11 record through 16 games.
On Thursday, coach John Calipari spoke with reporters, and he acknowledged that the game of basketball is changing. He said he’ll recruit more shooters to Lexington in the coming years:

Cal on importance of good shooting: "Now, shooting is even a bigger deal than it's been. … The game is changing. Shooting is a premium."

Coach Cal has seemingly been averse to the 3-point shot in recent years, even as Alabama has used the 3 ball to go 10-0 in SEC play thus far.
Can Calipari change his coaching strategy and embrace the new era of basketball? We’ll find out starting next season, it seems.
