Kentucky kicker Austin MacGinnis set a big record during Saturday’s game against Missouri.
The record-breaking moment came in the second quarter of the game. Wildcats RB Benny Snell ripped off a 71-yard touchdown run that gave MacGinnis an opportunity to break Kentucky’s all-time scoring record. MacGinnis was perfect on the PAT and passed Lones Sieber with 306 career points.
MacGinnis still has six more games after tonight and likely a bowl game to add to his career total.
Gary Graves tweeted out an announcement when MacGinnis tied the record with a field goal earlier in the game:
Kentucky's Austin MacGinnis has tied Lones Seiber for school career scoring lead (305 points) with his 35-yd field goal. Wildcats up 13-0.
