Chip Trayanum, a former Ohio State running back with a previous stop at Arizona State, is on his way to the SEC.

Following the end of the 2023 season, Trayanum hit the transfer portal after two seasons in Columbus. He exited the portal Tuesday morning with a transfer commitment to Kentucky, joining the Wildcats for the 2024 season.

Trayanum was originally a 4-star prospect out of Ohio in the 2020 recruiting class. He spent his first two seasons with Arizona State as a running back and transferred to Ohio State ahead of the 2022 season with plans to play linebacker.

By the end of the 2022 season, Trayanum was back on offense for the Buckeyes and rushed for 83 yards in a loss to Michigan to end the regular season. In the 2023 season, Trayanum rushed for 373 yards and 3 touchdowns while averaging 4.4 yards per carry behind starting RB TreVeyon Henderson.

In his career, Trayanum has rushed for over 1,100 yards with an impressive 5.1 yards per carry and 13 touchdowns. He’ll look to find the same success that former transfer Ray Davis had while leading the Wildcats with 1,066 yards and 13 touchdowns this season.
