Kentucky LB DeAndre Square brutally shoves Wildcats equipment staffer to the ground after play

Kentucky went into South Carolina and won on Saturday night, but the 16-10 victory was a frustrating one for Wildcat fans and players alike.

Still, there are acceptable ways to show your frustration, and then there’s what Kentucky LB DeAndre Square did during the game.

After chasing South Carolina QB Luke Doty out of bounds, Square took a few extra steps and then brutally shoved a Kentucky equipment staffer to the ground. As you can see in the video below, Square’s actions were completely avoidable and unnecessary:

As the incident gained attention, Square took to Twitter, first to explain what he thought happened and then to say he can’t believe he’s going viral for it:

Sure, the Wildcats were frustrated, but to do something like that to a member of your own team’s staff seems completely out of line.
