Two former Kentucky men’s basketball players, who had recently declared for the NBA Draft and signed with an agent, were reportedly involved in a fatal car crash in Los Angeles.

Lexington, Kentucky TV station WKYT confirmed that Terrence Clarke has died in Los Angeles. Sources told WKYT that Clarke and BJ Boston were leaving a workout in LA. WKYT reported that Clarke died on the way to hospital. Boston was reportedly in a car behind him. Additional details about the incident are not yet known.

Clarke, a 6-foot-7 guard, was limited to just eight games this season due to a leg injury — seven in non-conference play and one in the SEC Tournament — making six starts and averaging 9.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. He declared for the NBA Draft in March. Clarke missed 17 games last season with a foot injury, and returned against Mississippi State in the SEC Tournament where he had two points and three assists in 10 minutes.

Boston averaged 11.5 points but shot just 35.5 percent overall and 30 percent from 3-point range.

Clarke and Boston were the first pair of top 10 prospects to come to Kentucky since De’Aaron Fox and Bam Adebayo in 2016. Boston and Clarke each signed with Klutch Sports.

UPDATE: Boston is reportedly OK.
