Kentucky lost QB Terry Wilson to a serious knee injury following a horse collar tackle against Eastern Michigan.

After the 38-17 win over Eastern Michigan, Mark Stoops offered this grim update about Wilson’s status.

“I’ll say this, it didn’t look good,” he told reporters, including Jeff Drummond. “Never good when a guy gets carted off. But they won’t know for sure until the MRI.”

Late in the third quarter, Wilson ran for 17 yards before the horse-collar tackle by Eastern Michigan DE Turin Rush. When Wilson was tackled, his left knee buckled under him, and he was taken off of the field on a cart.

Wilson waved to the crowd as he was carted off the field with a brace on his left knee.

An MRI is scheduled for Sunday, Stoops said.
