Sawyer Smith has quickly found a favorite receiver at Kentucky in his first start at UK.

Ahmad Wagner helped the Wildcats cap a 12-play, 79-yard scoring drive with a 26-yard touchdown catch where he leaped near the goal line and somehow juggled the ball enough to grab it as he hit the ground. The play was reviewed, but the original call of a touchdown stood, according to the referee. It meant Kentucky tied the game at 7, with 14:16 left in the second quarter.

Wagner by that point in the game had 2 catches for 49 yards.

Wagner is listed at 6-foot-5 and 238 pounds, and used every inch of that frame to make the catch. He previously played the last three seasons on the basketball team at Iowa. This play looked like he went for a rebound in the paint against the Gators.
