Will Levis, one of the more debated quarterbacks in this year’s NFL Draft class, is off the board as the Kentucky QB is set to begin his pro career.

Levis became somewhat of a hot topic after sliding down the board when the draft kicked off. After being projected as a near-consensus top-10 pick, the QB was not selected in the first round of picks Thursday night.

Levis was on-hand in Kansas City for the first round but reportedly did not stick around for Friday’s broadcast of Rounds 2-3. In the end, Levis was selected 33rd overall by the Tennessee Titans after Tennessee traded up in Round 2.

Levis’ frame is ideal for NFL scouts at 6-foot-4, 229 pounds, and he has experience playing in a pro-style offense at Kentucky. He has a strong arm and he’s athletic, but has struggled at times in his career, and a popular criticism of him is that he couldn’t win the starting job at Penn State.

Levis at Kentucky was one of the best quarterbacks in program history, as he finished his career with a 17-7 record as a starter at UK, which tied Terry Wilson for the second-most quarterback wins since 1993. He totaled 43 career touchdown passes, fifth on UK’s career list. Levis also totaled 5,233 passing yards at UK, which is 6th on the program’s all-time list, and had 6 300-yard passing games at UK, the 4th-most in school history.

Levis last season completed 65.4% of his passes for 2,406 yards, with 19 TDs and 10 interceptions with 2 rushing TDs. He missed a game with shoulder and toe injuries, and opted out of the bowl game.

Levis this week was the subject of gambling odds for the No. 1 overall pick as DraftKings and other sportsbooks saw his odds skyrocket. Levis’ odds to go No. 1 overall in the draft have dropped significantly from +4000 to +400. The reason for that is reportedly traced to an anonymous social media post.
