4-star in-state 2023 receiver backs off commitment to LSU
Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers have gotten off to a hot start on the 2023 recruiting trails. But, on Monday, that class took a hit.
A 4-star receiver from Vivian, Louisiana, who had been committed to LSU since Aug. 2, 2021, reopened his recruitment.
As you can see below, Omarion Miller took to Twitter to say he was still interested in LSU, but was opening up his recruitment and decommitting from the Tigers:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Miller is the No. 20 wide receiver in the 2023 class and the No. 7 overall recruit from the state of Louisiana.
The Tigers are now down to 5 players in their 2023 recruiting class. Prior to Miller’s decommitment, that class ranked No. 12 nationally, per 247Sports.

Louisiana online sports betting is officially live in much of the state. Louisiana joined the handful of other SEC football states with legalized sports betting in January 2022.
He has a strange vibe with Kelly. Not totally comfortable with him. He could end up at Georgia. Maybe or maybe not. But we got him this far.
PS. Well they got him this far. LOL
Negan
You’re such a knucklebutt. UGA hasn’t even offered. Believe it or not, the college football world does not revolve around Georgia.
LSUSMC……..What is a knucklebutt??? Has it occurred to you Georgia might have just offered him?
” Believe it or not, the college football world does not revolve around Georgia. ”
This part of the college football world revolves around Georgia!!! But since we are on the subject. Why don’t you tell those obnoxious Alabama fans that the college football world doesn’t revolve around them?
Because you know you would be telling a fib!!!
And considering Alabama has Georgia on their mind 24/7 these days. Yes, I would say that right now college football does revolve around Georgia! AFTER ALL. WE ARE THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!!!
If you are going to choose a team to revolve around. Why not the team that just spanked the champ to become the champ??? LOL
PS. Don’t you just hate it when I’m right??? LOL
Negan
When has that ever happened?
I think I have reached a low point now that I’m responding to Negan but this is one of his shortest posts ever. No ten paragraph all caps rambling but the same non sense. I’m pretty sure that you have met with the kid and he told you he has a strange vibe with Kelly. Quit making stuff up.
I responded to him about a year ago. Hated myself. Thought about therapy. Realized good people do dumb things sometimes.
Commitments don’t mean cr ap ola anymore, I don’t know why they just don’t call them 1 year contracts?
I’ll never understand scholarship offers for underclassmen nor commiting to a school before your senior year. It’s sorta like saying, “I’m definitely going to a college that may or may not actually have a scholarship for me and I may or may not graduate.”
I think we are going to see a lot of this going on. Everyone wanting to see what their best offer is going to be. Can’t blame them. That is the NIL world we live in.
And please don’t say this is not happening and the recruits can not be offered NIL before signing.
Brian Kelly is an awesome coach. He should win at least 9.5 games every year on average or a $1,000,000 per win to make it worth LSU’s investment in him. I predict he will win 10 games this year. If he doesn’t, he has not done a good job for the money he was paid.
College football will, sadly enough, never be the same again with this NIL non-sense. Imagine an outstanding chemistry student changing schools to get an NIL deal with another because of some offer from a chemical manufacturer. Going to college has always been a treasured time in life when “amateur” status as a student, athlete, and other school-related activities allowed us to grown, learn, and enjoy in preparation for adulthood life in jobs, personal and family realms, and the rest of life experiences. Unfortunately, this is just another realm where the chase of money rules and not the valued characteristics of what matters most and endures most in life.
