Brian Kelly paid a visit to “SEC This Morning” with Peter Burns and Chris Doering to recap LSU’s win at Florida on Saturday.

Kelly discussed the practice week leading up to the game, and how Kayshon Boutte was named a captain.

“First of all, you have to have your best players buy into the fact that we need to make some changes here from what we’re doing,” Kelly said. “I’m very proud of this entire football team and what we’ve asked them to do up to this point, they’ve done some really good things. But it’s not good for our standard of excellence and that was shown against a very good team in Tennessee.”

Kelly added that he was happy to see the Tigers bounce back from the tough loss against Tennessee.

“The one guy who really stood out for us was Kayshon, the way he worked, the example he set during the week of practice,” Kelly said. “The first time, from my perspective, show himself as a leader of the football team. We made him captain for this game and you saw the way he played. He played with the kind of big-play ability that many people have been looking for.”
