NFL teams are holding their rookie minicamps this month, and the Washington Redskins got theirs started on Friday.

One of the players involved in the camp was former LSU RB Derrius Guice, who fell to the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft, where the Redskins scooped him up.

Following his first NFL practice, Guice said he was thrilled to be back on the field chasing his dreams (via Redskins.com):

“It felt like my dream finally came true,” he said following Friday’s practice. “Being part of a National Football [League] organization, that was the best part to me. Outside of being out there with the guys, a long time in the meetings, putting it all out on the field and actually remembering everything, it was a great feeling.”

After falling out of the first round of the draft, Guice is very motivated to do well in 2018 for his new team. If he continues to progress this summer, he could compete for the starting job in Washington.
