Back in October, LSU DE Justin Thomas decided to leave the Tigers to deal with a personal matter.
Now, as the Tigers approach the 2020 season, it appears the rising senior will be returning to the team for his final year.
Coach Ed Orgeron announced during an appearance on ESPN Radio 104.5 in Baton Rouge on Tuesday that Thomas was coming back and had a weight limit Coach O wanted him to hit:
“I’m excited about Justin Thomas coming back,” Orgeron said. “Justin weighed 300 pounds. I want him to get down to 285. We’ve got him at right end. He’s quick and explosive.”
Thomas has 4 tackles and half a sack during his LSU career. We’ll see if he’s able to carve out a bigger role for himself this fall.
