It turns out LSU won’t be returning all five starting offensive linemen after all, as projected starting left tackle Dare Rosenthal has indeed moved on from the program.

This news came to light on Monday following a reported “violation of school policies” that likely would have cost Rosenthal time on the field during his final college campaign.

During a recent appearance on ESPN Baton Rouge radio show “Off The Bench,” the first question issued to Orgeron regarded Rosenthal’s status with the team.

“Yeah, listen, LSU loves Dare. Dare loved LSU,” Orgeron said on the show. “I recruited him out of Ferriday High School as a defensive lineman, he came here.

“He’s going to be a great left, offensive tackle. He had some personal situation that he had to take care of. It was a hard decision for him, but we wish him the best. We’re gonna miss him.”

Without providing any specifics on what happened, it’s clear based on that response that Rosenthal’s time in Baton Rouge has come to an end.
