LSU landed some top recruits on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period. But the 2020 recruiting cycle isn’t over, and the Tigers still have work to do.

During a press conference on Wednesday, LSU head coach Ed Orgeron listed some of the remaining priorities that he has for recruiting in the 2020 class. He told the media that he’d like to add defensive linemen, cornerbacks and safeties.

The Tigers’ top signee on Wednesday was 5-star tight end Arik Gilbert, who is ranked No. 9 in the 2020 class per the 247sports Composite rankings. He had been committed to LSU since October, though, so it didn’t come as a surprise.

But the Tigers also got some new additions to their 2020 class, such as 4-star linebacker Phillip Webb.

Even though LSU brought in some solid defensive recruits, Orgeron apparently wants to continue to add pieces for that side of the ball, based on his remaining priorities.

LSU’s 2020 class is currently ranked No. 5 in the country per 247sports.
