Ed Orgeron teases surprise for Rice game
For many fans (and players), it’s hard to get excited about the late-season cupcake week in November. Ed Orgeron, however, has come up with a fun way to drum up some interest in Saturday’s LSU vs. Rice game.
At his Thursday post-practice press conference, Orgeron teased a surprise ball-carrier at running back after the starters come out. This would presumably be a player deep on the bench or someone who doesn’t get to touch the ball very often.
As you can see in the tweets below, fans had some fun suggestions:
Most common response: Devin White
But we've also seen Tyler Shelvin, Kent Lowe, Lanard Fournette, Garrett Brumfield and Tiger Scheyd.
Say what you will, but Ed Orgeron just created some intrigue for the Rice game #LSU https://t.co/50mttXid2N

Who do you want to see carry the ball once the game is out of hand the starters can rest?
LSU-Rice is set for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff and the game will air on ESPNU.
