Ed Orgeron's son, Cody, helps McNeese State win in double-overtime
Saturday night’s FCS season debut was one for the ages, as McNeese State and Tarleton State went into 2 overtimes.
Eventually, McNeese State got the win, thanks to a run by Cody Orgeron, the son of LSU coach Ed Orgeron.
As you can see below, Tarleton State held a 37-34 lead in double-overtime. That’s when Orgeron took a snap, ran left and found his way into the end zone to give his team a dramatic 40-37 victory:

The FCS season is just getting started after being postponed from the fall, but if this opening game is any indication, we’re in for a doozy of a spring season.
And, with the FBS season not going on at the moment, Coach O will likely have even more time to watch his son play this spring.
You know as a favor to Dacoacheaux, Nick Saban would’ve probably let him walk on at Alabama. After all, after Yawyaw is fired at the end of the season, he’ll be hired on as an analyst for the Crimson Tide.
Farmer Fran’s gonna look good in crimson and white.
Webster’s definition of idiot….see above poster ^
AGREE biggie, he’s not a troll, he’s just a “never will be” that can’t deliver a decent, intelligent comment. Like most morons, and case of mental malnutrition.
Gump is a child or a coward but either way he has a major man crush on Coach O!
Agreed! Either that or I’m beginning to wonder just how many of his girlfriends left him for O??
