Elijah Robinson is well aware of the matchup issues Jayden Daniels can cause.
Robinson has the tough task of stopping the Heisman Trophy hopeful after beating Abilene Christian in Week 12. Jaylen Henderson started at quarterback with Max Johnson still nursing a rib injury.
Johnson suffered the injury during the 38-35 loss to Ole Miss. Henderson had 260 yards passing with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception in the 38-10 win.
Robinson called Daniels a “true weapon” and talked about the crazy numbers the LSU quarterback has put up this year.
“He’s extremely talented. He does a really good job. You’re looking at a guy who rushed for over 1,000 yards, threw for over 3,500 yards, and has a great coach in Coach Kelly,” said Robinson. “He’s a true weapon, so we have to be on top of our game to really give ourselves a chance.”
Daniels had another incredible game on Saturday, scoring 8 total touchdowns. Daniels had 413 yards passing and 96 yards rushing as the Tigers beat Georgia State 56-14.
The Aggies beat LSU last season in College Station 38-23. It’s been awhile since Texas A&M has won in Baton Rouge, however. The last time that happened was back in 1994.
The Tigers are favored by 10.5 at home. Kickoff will be at noon ET on ESPN.
