LSU enters another season chasing that big elephant in Tuscaloosa.

The Crimson Tide have won the last eight games against LSU, and the once magical rivalry in the SEC West has turned one-sided. Still, LSU is building a lot of talent under Ed Orgeron in hopes of swinging the rivalry back LSU’s way.

With a veteran quarterback, offensive playmakers and a really good defense, LSU enters 2019 as a top eight team.

LSU also has a top 10-caliber schedule, too. In fact, ESPN’s Football Power Index ranks the Tigers schedule as the 10th toughest in the nation. The metric also projects the Tigers to finish the season 10-2, and it gives them a 1.6 chance to go undefeated and a 12.3 percent chance to win the conference.

LSU’s toughest game? It’s obviously Alabama, as the FPI only gives the Tigers a 25.2 percent chance to win in Tuscaloosa.

Below is LSU’s full schedule and projected win probability, per the FPI:

  • August 31: Georgia Southern: 96.7 percent win probability
