In preparation of Sunday night’s game between LSU and Florida, several former players from both programs have taken to Twitter.
Hall of Fame linebacker Derrick Brooks specifically called out Booger McFarland and Marcus Spears in his tweet.
“There’s several LSU alumni out there that won’t let me treat this as another game,” Brooks said. “So it’s a big game and a big game requires big things.”
Brooks then revealed he was wearing his old FSU game jersey.
“Number 10 is back in the building. Let’s Go Noles.”

Despite the relative proximety between schools, LSU and FSU have only faced 9 times previously. The Seminoles hold a 7-2 edge in the series and won their most recent meeting 27-16 in Baton Rouge in 1991, when Brooks was a freshman linebacker at Florida State.
But that was then. In less than an hour the current Tigers and Seminoles will settle it on the field.
