Much has been made of former LSU teammates Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry reuniting in Cleveland. They’re not the only Tigers reuniting as Browns. Beckham and Landry will be coached by a familiar face, former LSU assistant Adam Henry.

Henry coached the two at LSU and separately in the NFL. He joined the Cleveland Browns staff in January 2018 and was previously with the New York Giants, Beckham’s former team. But this is the first time all three are back in the wide receivers room, just like the good ole days in Baton Rouge.

It could be pretty special, but again, we’ve got a long way to go,” Henry told reporters this week (video below). “It’s something that you look forward to and potentially on paper, it’s something that’s good. But just getting the rapport, the me to you, things of that nature. We’ve got a quarterback that can throw it with great leadership, and with [Browns head coach] Freddie [Kitchen’s] mind and the play-calling, we’ll be in a good situation.

“It’s a great thing. Just sitting in the meetings and they were kinda shaking their heads saying wow, this is different,” Henry added. “Being in the meeting room with them at LSU was a good thing and to be here, it’s kinda surreal.”

Henry got into coaching in the 1997 season, after his playing career ended. He was a long-time wide receivers coach and offensive coordinator at his alma mater, McNeese State, before jumping to the NFL in 2007. He returned to college coaching in 2012 at LSU as the Tigers wide receivers coach until 2014, coaching Beckham and Landry for two seasons.
