Former LSU assistant weighs in on Nick Saban’s comments against Texas A&M
Social media was a fun place to be on Thursday. Nick Saban made a claim that Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M had bought all of the recruits from their 2022 recruiting class, which is the No. 1 overall class in history.
However, a former LSU assistant has given an explanation as to why Saban may have made those comments per Brody Miller of The Athletic. The identity of the former LSU staff member is still anonymous.
Here’s why the staffer believes Saban said what he said about Jimbo Fisher.
โItโs like a code, and Nick crossed the line,โ said the staffer.ย โIt felt like โA Few Good Men.โ Nickโs always gonna make an excuse. He shouldโve just said, โMaybe we need to do a better job with NIL.โ But heโs now done that twice to Jimbo. He did it also after signing day. When Nick does that, heโs attacking someoneโs character.โ
A common question has been why Nick Saban of all people felt a need to make those comments Wednesday night.

Both Saban and Fisher are due in Destin at the SEC Spring Meetings next week, and we can bet there will be some very interesting quotes coming out of the meetings.
