Back when Tyrann Mathieu was at LSU, he had some off-the-field issues that forced then-coach Les Miles to have to kick him off the team.

However, Mathieu then went on to become a star in the NFL and is now one of the best safeties in the game.

He recently signed a one-year deal with the Houston Texans, and Miles was asked about it, saying he couldn’t be happier for his former player:

The Honey Badger saw that tweet, and in showing that there are no hard feelings, he tweeted his appreciation for Miles:

Miles had little choice but to kick Mathieu off the team back in 2012, but now he has turned his life around, which must be great for the former coach to see.

Everyone makes mistakes (especially in college), so Mathieu should be judged based on the man he’s become in the NFL.
