Former LSU LB Kwon Alexander reportedly lands new NFL contract
Former LSU LB Kwon Alexander was a fourth-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He played for the Bucs until 2019, when he moved to the San Francisco 49ers. Then, last November, he was traded to the New Orleans Saints in exchange for a fifth-round pick.
On Tuesday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Alexander would be sticking around with the Saints on a 1-year deal worth up to $3 million:
Free-agent linebacker Kwon Alexander and the Saints have agreed to a year deal worth up to $3 million, @DrewJRosenhaus told ESPN. Alexander played with the Saints last season and is an LSU alum and he lands in New Orleans today, his birthday.

In 2020, Alexander played for both the San Francisco 49ers and the Saints, recording 57 tackles (3 for a loss) and 1 sack.
