Former New England Patriots running back Nick Brossette has landed with a new team.

The former LSU player shined in the preseason for the Patriots, with 3 touchdowns in 4 preseason games. In the final preseason game against the New York Giants, Brossette scored his third TD in four games with the Patriots this month. He had 20 carries for 62 yards and a touchdown, with 4 catches for 18 yards.

Ultimately, he was the victim of a crowded backfield in New England and has signed with the Detroit Lions to their practice squad.

The Patriots initially signed him as an undrafted rookie free agent out of LSU following the 2019 NFL Draft.

At LSU, Brossette rushed for 1,350 yards and 14 TDs in his career, and was named a permanent team captain for the 2018 Tigers.
