Former LSU wide receiver Derrick Dillon is getting another NFL opportunity. The Cleveland Browns announced Monday that they have signed Dillon.

Dillon is back in the NFL after a season in the USFL with the Tampa Bay Bandits. After going undrafted in 2020, Dillon landed with the New York Giants. With the Giants, Dillon was on and off the practice squad over the 2020 and ’21 seasons. He was let go as part of roster cuts on Aug. 11, 2021.

Dillon played in 48 games at LSU from 2016-to-2019, recording 51 receptions for 634 yards and 4 touchdowns. His most productive season was in 2018 when he caught 22 passes for 307 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Time will tell if this opportunity with the Browns leads to Dillon making his regular-season NFL debut.
