Former SEC head coach, LSU analyst could follow Joe Brady to Carolina
As the Joe Brady move to the Carolina Panthers gains momentum, his possible offensive staff is coming into focus. There are multiple possibilities, including a member of the LSU coaching staff, and former Mississippi State coach Joe Moorhead.
Multiple reports, including from Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated, and Brody Miller of The Athletic, suggest D.J. Mangas, an LSU analyst, could follow Brady to Carolina. They’re both William & Mary alums. Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic also raised the Moorhead possibility, which Dellenger agreed with as part of his reporting. They have a history of working together at Penn State.
Brady is reportedly in control of hiring his staff with the Panthers.
I understand that this will likely mean lots of LSU/Saints buddies. But I wouldn’t rule out Brady putting in a call to Joe Moorhead, who was his first mentor at Penn State, runs a hell of an offense and is currently looking for a job. See also: Pittsburgh guy. https://t.co/2cgkS9exrz

Source says new #Panthers OC Joe Brady is being given control to hire his staff. Could see Brady bringing with him #LSU analyst DJ Mangas, a fellow William & Mary alum.

When Brady was hired at #LSU this winter, LSU said he could bring in one of his own people.
He chose DJ Mangas. https://t.co/7DOqtYLa92

Good call here.
From what I understand, Moorhead and Brady still communicate on a weekly if not daily basis. https://t.co/25KWRkfFMk
