Jayden Daniels for Heisman Trophy? Overwhelming reaction pours in to support LSU QB
Jayden Daniels posted another Heisman-worthy performance on Saturday in LSU’s win over Florida.
The quarterback had 372 passing yards, 234 rushing yards and 5 total touchdowns in the win over the Gators, once again proving the offensive weapon that he is.
With his performance, Daniels became the only other quarterback in SEC history besides Johnny Manziel to notched 200 passing yards and 200 rushing yards in a game. He had a huge 51-yard touchdown run that gave LSU the lead late in the game, and had another pair of touchdowns in the 4th quarter that helped seal the deal for LSU.
It’s safe to say Daniels is making a strong case for the Heisman Trophy after yet another video game-like performance, and with the season winding down it is likely that he’ll be on the stage in New York in December.
After the game, fans and media reacted to his performance with many claiming it’s time to hand Daniels the Heisman Trophy.
Also… I saw about 25 plays of LSU and Florida between flights.
If you don’t have Jayden Daniels in you’re top 2-3 on your Heisman Ballot, you shouldn’t have a vote.
That guy is unreal. Can’t wait to watch the tape tomorrow.

Spectacular isn’t a strong enough word to describe Jayden Daniels. We’re watching a truly special player at the absolute top of his game. LSU’s won/loss record is what it is, but no player is carrying a bigger load than Daniels. He’s the best player in the nation.

Jayden Daniels is the best quarterback in the country and he should win the Heisman regardless of how many losses #LSU has. Nobody is having a better season in the country.

If Jayden Daniels isn’t at the top of your Heisman list, I’d like to know who is…

JAYDEN DANIELS IS THE HEISMAN.

I don't now if Jayden Daniels is going to win the Heisman because there are a lot of good candidates on teams that will play bigger games down the stretch.
But maybe Jayden Daniels should win the Heisman. https://t.co/iRNWRmQokX— Ralph D. Russo (@ralphDrussoAP) November 12, 2023
It’s so hard to watch Michigan snooze their way through a game but people talk JJ McCarthy for Heisman because he’s the (unimpressive) QB of an undefeated team that’s played nobody.
Meanwhile, Jayden Daniels continues to be absolutely spectacular and could be penalized because…

Robert Griffin III won the Heisman in 2011. Baylor went 10-3.
Lamar Jackson won the Heisman in 2016. Louisville went 9-4
Caleb Williams won the Heisman in 2022. USC went 11-3.
Throw out the records. Jayden Daniels is the best college football player in the country. Period. https://t.co/21gO86VGBq

Don’t care if LSU has 3 losses, Jayden Daniels should be in NYC for Heisman. pic.twitter.com/uZwFS0Sunk

If Jayden Daniels doesn’t win the Heisman, it’s a team award now.
Plain and simple.

If Jayden Daniels isn't at the top of your Heisman ballot, you're a sheep and a lemming.
He's Superman.
