JK Johnson, an Ohio State cornerback who entered the transfer portal 5 days ago, has announced a commitment to play in the SEC.

Johnson changed his Twitter bio, and posted a picture of himself in an LSU uniform on Instagram. Johnson started 5 games for the Buckeyes in the 2022 season, but he didn’t see any snaps on defense in the Peach Bowl against Georgia.

Johnson is a product of St. Louis, Missouri (DeSmet) as a part of the 2021 recruiting class, and was a 4-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite, the No. 3 cornerback in his recruiting class and the best player from his home state. Johnson was the No. 50 player in the country in 2021. He committed to Ohio State over offers from Clemson and Notre Dame.

Johnson worked through a rehab assignment during the 2021 campaign, and saw his first game in college in the win over Akron.
