Joe Burrow heard the criticism about his former LSU teammate now with the Cincinnati Bengals, Ja’Marr Chase, and his preseason struggles with dropped passes.

“I thought he was dropping everything,” Burrow said as he sat down for his post-game media session with reporters.

The rookie Chase, in fact, had a great debut with 5 catches for 101 yards and a touchdown, including a 50-yard touchdown on 7 targets.

Burrow himself was solid in his regular season return from an ACL injury. He was 20-for-27 passing for 261 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also converted a key fourth down in overtime to setup the game-winning field goal in the 27-24 victory.
