Joe Burrow accomplished just about everything that could possibly be accomplished on the gridiron this season.

Following an incredible run that saw LSU win the SEC championship, the national championship and Burrow taking home the Heisman Trophy in the largest landslide vote in the award’s history, the quarterback is expected by many to be the top overall selection by the time the 2020 NFL Draft arrives in April.

While many of the top seniors across the nation will soon be descending on Mobile for the 2020 Senior Bowl, it was just announced that Burrow will not be among them.

Here’s a statement on Burrow shared by Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy:

“Had a great talk with LSU football QB Joe Burrow last night and he decided to forgo the Senior Bowl to spend time with family. Our staff completely respects his decision and wish Joe nothing but the best. Some NFL team and city are getting a special player, person, and leader.”

So there you have it, while Burrow will not be among the players hoping to improve their stock down in Mobile, the reality is the former LSU quarterback doesn’t have much room to improve considering all that he accomplished in the last four months.
