Kayshon Boutte was lighting the SEC on fire early last season before an injury ended his season early.

Complications with that injury have prevented Boutte from participating in spring practices, but it appears he’s closer to 100% with each passing day.

Per a report on Tuesday, Boutte has made progress in his return to the field (via 247Sports):

According to a report from the Jordy Culotta Show, Boutte has been cleared for full speed running for about a week, giving the purple and gold some fantastic summer news in anticipation of year one under Brian Kelly. Boutte being back in the fold this early in the summer is nothing but great news for the Tigers as most importantly it now gives him time to get in the right physical shape ahead of fall camp.

Boutte appeared in 6 games last season, recording 38 catches for 509 yards and 9 touchdowns.

If he is ready to go for Week 1, he’ll be a huge boost for the LSU offense that still has a quarterback battle raging this offseason.
