LSU announces contract details for DC Dave Aranda
LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda did quite well during his first year in Baton Rouge.
A California native, Aranda came to LSU from Wisconsin. In his inaugural campaign, the Tigers’ defense ranked No. 13 in the country — allowing 323.0 yards per contest.

Louisiana online sports betting is officially live in much of the state. Louisiana joined the handful of other SEC football states with legalized sports betting in January 2022.

In addition, the opposition scored 32 touchdowns versus LSU on the season. This is the second-fewest of any school in the country, behind Alabama (29).
It comes as no surprise that Aranda was given a raise for his performance:
DC Dave Aranda's new deal with #LSU will pay him between $1.8-$1.9 MILLION per (tops among coordinators in CFB), source tells @FoxSports.

Aranda has now become one of the highest-paid coordinators in the sport.
