LSU has landed a commitment from Beaumont (Texas) United offensive lineman Weston Davis.

The 6-foot-5 offensive tackle from the Lone Star State had been committed to Texas A&M since late June. He took an official visit to the Aggies to begin the month, joined the class weeks later, and then took an unofficial visit back to campus for the Sept. 23 game against Auburn.

But LSU never cooled on its interest in Davis, and he pulled the trigger on a flip on Thursday.

Davis took an official visit to LSU just days before his public pledge to the Aggies. That trip capped a month that also saw him take officials to Alabama and Oklahoma. He held offers from more than a dozen Power Five programs, including seven SEC (or soon-to-be) schools.

In the industry-generated 247 Composite, Davis is a 4-star recruit. He’s ranked as the No. 12 tackle and the No. 27 prospect from the state of Texas. In the national player rankings, he sits at No. 169.

It’s a major coup for Brian Kelly and the Tigers, who now hold 26 known commitments in the 2024 cycle. The class ranks No. 12 nationally and now features five known commits on the offensive line.

A&M’s class drops to 20 known pledges. It currently sits inside the top 10 nationally.
