LSU added a commitment from transfer receiver Destyn Hill on Tuesday morning, according to a report.

That news was shared by Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman, citing a conversation with the former Florida State receiver.

“It’s a big support system, a bigger opportunity to get better with more resources, and the main thing – it’s all about getting better and getting one step closer to the NFL,” Hill told Spiegelman. “I’m going to WRU.”

Hill took a non-tradition path to college football. He initially committed to Florida State as a member of the 2021 recruiting class, but he did not actually enroll until 2023. He spent 2 seasons with the Noles before entering the portal and just wrapped up his redshirt freshman campaign.

Hill caught 6 passes for 87 yards as a true freshman with the Noles in 2023. He missed the entire 2024 campaign due to a season-ending injury.

Hill was initially regarded as the No. 113 overall player and the No. 19 receiver in the country for the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He will have 3 years of eligibility remaining beginning in 2025.

LSU has been very active in the transfer portal so far this offseason. Hill is the 8th transfer to commit to LSU already this cycle. The Tigers have the No. 1-ranked transfer portal class in the country as of publication, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
