LSU DE/OLB Arden Key followed up an outstanding sophomore season in 2016 with a very disappointing 2017 campaign, playing in only eight games and recording only four sacks as he battled injury and inconsistency.

However, he’s still projected as a borderline first-round NFL Draft prospect by many analysts, and having a good performance at the NFL Scouting Combine at the end of the month will be critical for him.

On Monday morning, Key took to Twitter to weigh in on his junior year, saying he realizes the 2017 season didn’t go according to plan, but adding that he learned a lot from the experience:

NFL teams will have a lot of questions for Key during the pre-draft process, and his answers will play a big part in whether he rises to day one or slips all the way to day three.

It’ll be interesting to see how everything plays out, but Key has plenty of talent and could be an impact player as a pro.
