There has been plenty of trash-talking between the LSU and Florida players ahead of their rivalry matchup in Baton Rouge on Saturday night. On Thursday, LSU President F. King Alexander asked Tigers fans in a letter to be good representatives of LSU and to be “mindful of their behavior” during the game.

“This Saturday gives us an incredible opportunity to show the country why LSU is such a great university,” Alexander wrote in his letter. “We want to showcase the best of our institution. We want America to see how our most accomplished and most diverse student body in history is taking full advantage of our world-class educational and search opportunities in order to answer the most pressing issues of our time.

Alexander went on to also write “While we are proud of the reputation that LSU has, we also ask that our students, faculty, staff and alumni, and fans please remember that we are all representatives of this great university. We can be fierce opponents on the football field, but we should be gracious hosts to all our invited guests off the field.”

LSU will host Florida in a Top 10 matchup at Tiger Stadium this Saturday. Kickoff will be at 8 pm ET.
