LSU QB commit Myles Brennan sounds like he’s a Tiger for life.

The four-star quarterback is open to redshirting and said he won’t leave the school if that’s what coach Ed Orgeron and new offensive coordinator Matt Canada decide would be best for him:

“It really hasn’t been mentioned to me because of all the stuff that’s been going on. When I was with Coach (Cam) Cameron and Coach (Les) Miles it was brought up, but I haven’t talked to Coach Canada or Coach Orgeron about what their plan is for me next year. I was just putting that out there to let people know I’m not going to leave LSU if I have to redshirt. … I don’t mind getting in there getting bigger, better learning the system and just competing.”

With both Danny Etling and Brandon Harris returning in 2017, redshirting may indeed be the best option for Brennan. Plus, at 6-foot-3, but only weighing 180 pounds, taking a year to add some muscle to his frame may be a good idea if Brennan hopes to withstand the punishment he’ll receive from SEC defenses in the future.

Whatever does happen, though, it seems Coach O and the Tigers have themselves a great team player moving forward.
