LSU recruiting is on fire right now. The Tigers picked up 2023 commitment No. 8 (plus 2024’s Xavier Atkins) in the month of July with a Saturday pledge from Whit Weeks, the brother of LSU linebacker West Weeks, who transferred from Virginia.

Whit Weeks is a 3-star prospect out of Oconee County, Georgia. After picking up 18 scholarship offers, he narrowed things down to LSU, Georgia and Oklahoma. Whit’s father David Weeks was an All-SEC lineman at UGA in the 1990s.

Listed at 6-2, 205 pounds, Weeks is rated 3-stars, the No. 51 linebacker, No. 55 Peach State recruit and No. 610 prospect overall in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. Weeks also competes in track and field. As a sophomore, he ran a 12.21 100 and high jumped 5-6, per 247Sports.

With Weeks on board, LSU now has 14 commitments in its 2023 recruiting class. Weeks’ highlights can be viewed below, via Hudl:
