LSU safety reportedly enters NCAA transfer portal
LSU is going through the first spring practices of the Brian Kelly era, and that means players are starting to see where they stand on the depth chart ahead of the 2022 campaign.
On Wednesday, a former walk-on safety reportedly decided to explore playing time elsewhere for this coming fall.
Per Shea Dixon of 247Sports, Pig Cage has decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal:

The former walk-on out of Nicholls had a solid bowl game for the Tigers. Now he’ll head elsewhere for the 2022 season.

Cage appeared in 2 games for the Tigers in 2021, and was very productive in those games. He recorded 7 total tackles (3 for a loss) and 1 sack.
Cage was a transfer from Nicholls. We’ll see where he ends up next, but it appears his time in Baton Rouge is coming to an end.
