That’s one way to end the regular season in style!
Coming into Saturday, LSU had already posted a strong weekend trip in Nashville. The Tigers beat Vanderbilt handily on Thursday and Friday for the series win entering Saturday.
Though it took a little while for the offense to wake up in the finale, it could not be stopped when it came to life. The Tigers ended the game with 17 runs over the final 3 innings of play to take the game by a final score of 21-10.
The biggest outburst for LSU came during an 11-run frame in the 8th inning. That frame was punctuated by a grand slam off the bat of Brayden Jobert to make it 14-9.

LSU finished the game with 10 extra-base hits, including 4 home runs. Jobert led the way with 2 home runs, a triple, a double and 9 RBI for the Tigers.
The 3-game sweep of the Commodores marks the first time in program history that LSU has swept Vanderbilt in Nashville. LSU outscored Vanderbilt 42-to-15 in the sweep for a +27 run differential in the series.
