LSU wide receiver arrested in New Orleans on weapons charge
LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers was arrested in New Orleans late Monday night on a weapons charge.
According to WAFB.com, Orleans Parish Jail records show he was charged with illegal carrying of a weapon. He was released late Tuesday morning, per the records.
LSU has not yet made a public comment on Nabers’ arrest.
Nabers is a key player for the Tigers. He had a breakout sophomore season in 2022, catching 72 passes for 1,017 yards and 3 touchdowns.
He’s originally from Youngsville, Louisiana. He attended Southside High School and was a member of LSU’s 2021 recruiting class. He was a 4-star prospect in that cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
