Kristian Fulton may finally have a chance to see the field for LSU.

The former five-star high school defensive back received a two-year suspension from the NCAA after signing with the Tigers after allegedly cheating on a PED drug test issued by the NCAA. The suspension forced him to miss the entire 2017 season and is scheduled to have him miss the 2018 season, too. Fulton has never failed a test for PEDs, despite multiple tests taken since arriving at LSU.

Back in March, Ross Dellenger, then of the Advocate, wrote an article on Fulton’s story exposing the reasoning behind Fulton’s suspension.

According to Fulton’s attorney, Don Jackson, a “reconsideration” would be filed on Fulton’s behalf. The purpose of that act is to get the NCAA to take another look at the suspension and see if it’s justified. As a result of the “reconsideration,” the NCAA could make Fulton eligible immediately for the 2018 season.

Fulton issued this promising tweet on Friday:

According to Dellenger, Fulton’s case has been re-opened by the NCAA.

Considering he’s missed an entire season of football, Fulton has already been punished significantly harsher than most players that fail a single test. If he’s cleared to finally hit the field in Baton Rouge, one of the team’s most talented players could finally get the ability to show what he can do on the collegiate level.
