Thanks to a recent change in NFL rules, Ja’Marr Chase will be keeping the same number he wore at LSU.

Prior to this upcoming season, NFL receivers were not typically permitted to wear single-digit numbers. The rule change allowed for running backs, tight ends, fullbacks, H-backs and wide receivers to wear any numbers between 1-49 and 80-89.

Previously, NFL receivers were limited to jersey numbers listed between 80-89.

Now that the rules have been changed, that clears the way for Chase to keep his No. 1 jersey with the Cincinnati Bengals.
